Been following Hell on Wheels? Then take some time to visit the real-life spot where the railroads came together – Golden Spike National Historic Site. It’s 32 miles west of Brigham City, Utah and if you think you’re lost, don’t despair – it really is out in the middle of nowhere!
Try to make it to the site for one of the reenactment ceremonies, held between May and September. Check the site for more details. I have to say it’s pretty cool to watch the two engines meet – plus you can get great period photos as the engineers are dressed for the period.
